Save time with video automation

The phone rings. It’s a customer. She has a question.

A minute goes by. The customer tries to explain her problem.

Another minute passes.

You’re staring at your pile of work to do for the day, wondering how long this is going to take, wishing you could just get back to doing what needs to get done.

Shazam! Finally, you understand the question!

You respond, trying to help her visualize the solution to her problem.

Another four minutes pass while you’re struggling to help her understand.

Hooray! It seems she is on board, “So if I do such and such, it should solve my problem?”

“Yes!” you say.

“Great! Thank you for your help!”

And…. finally… you’re off the phone.

You look at the clock.

Ten minutes have disappeared. Whew! Back to the pile of work on your desk.

Then, the phone rings again.

Sound familiar?

Here are three ways you can use video to automate time consuming processes in your business and save valuable time:

  1. Video FAQ: Create a video library of solutions to frequently asked questions and place them on your web site. When a customer has a question, they will often look to your web site first, and only when reaching a dead-end will they pick up the phone.
  2. Video training: Every time you hire a new employee, you have to spend days or weeks getting them up to speed. The things you teach them are often the same. Why not record the training you do ONCE with video and use it over and over again.
  3. Video sales materials: Whether a standalone selling tool, or a tool your sales staff can use in phone calls and presentations, videos can be great ways to demonstrate your products, while saving valuable time normally spent trying to help the prospect visualize things.

Look for time consuming tasks in your business. Would creating a video help to automate the process?
